Instant Pot Pulled Pork & Brioche Buns

I love any recipe that uses the instant pot honestly lol. It just makes making supper a little bit easier! And tastier!

If you want that fall off the bone pulled pork then use the instant pot! Juicy & tender & full of flavour!

Instant Pot Pulled Pork Recipe

Ingredients:

• pork roast @sageandshepherdranch

• 1 cup chicken broth

• 1 cup BBQ sauce

• 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

• 2-3 tbsp flour

• 2 tbsp honey

• 1 tsp salt

• 1/2 tsp black pepper

• 1 tbsp Chili powder

• 1 tbsp brown sugar

• 2 tsp paprika

• 1 tsp onion powder

• 1 tsp garlic powder

• 1 tsp cumin

Directions:

1) Cut off any excess fat on your roast

2) Cut your roast into smaller chunks

3) Mix all spices together & season your pork

4) Add some lard, butter or olive oil to your instant pot in sauté & brown each side of your chunks of roast. Remove from pot.

5) Add chicken broth & scrape off bottom of pot. Add BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar & honey.

6) Add the pork back in & turn on high for 60 mins.

7) Remove pork from the instant pot & shred it up with a fork.

8) Add your flour into a cup with a bit of water & mix well. Pour into your sauce in the instant pot & turn on sauté for like 5 mins, stirring often, to thicken it up.

9) Add shredded pork back in & serve on buns!

Brioche Buns Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1 cup warm milk

• 1 tbsp yeast

• 2 tbsp honey or sugar

• 2 eggs (room temp)

• 4 tbsp butter (melted)

• 3 1/2 cups flour

• 1 tsp sea salt

• 1 egg for egg wash

Directions:

1) Add your yeast, warm water & honey or sugar to a bowl. Mix & let it sit for 15-20 mins until there is a frothy layer on top.

2) Add all the rest of the ingredients & mix until it forms into a dough.

3) Add dough to a greased bowl, cover with a cloth & put somewhere warm to rise for 1-2 hours

4) Split your dough up into 8 even balls. Add to your lined/greased baking sheet/dish & let rise for another 30-45 mins somewhere warm.

5) Add your egg wash to the top with a sprinkle of sea salt. Bake at 350 for 15-20 mins.
