Meatloaf & Sauce

Another comfort food!

This is a hit in our house for us & the kiddos & just feels like one of those comfort foods that I will forever make!

What you will need:

• 2lbs of ground beef

• 2-3 slices of bread

• 1/4 cup chopped onion

• 2-3 garlic cloves

• 1 tbsp sea salt

• pepper to taste

• 1/2 cup grated cheese or cut up cheese chunks

• 1/2 tbsp parsley

• 1 egg

• 2 tbsp ketchup

• 2 tsp worcestershire sauce

• 1/2 cup ketchup

• 1/4 cup brown sugar

• 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

• 2 tsp garlic powder

Directions:

1) Add your ground beef to a bowl. Add the egg, parsley, salt, pepper, garlic, 2 tsp worcestershire & 2 tbsp of ketchup.

2) Take the slices of bread & run them under the tap quickly & squeeze any excess water out. Crumble it into the bowl. Add the onions & cheese.

3) Mix everything together just enough to mix it evenly but don’t over do it. Add to a greased baking dish. Bake at 375 for 35 mins.

4) While that’s cooking, in a small bowl, mix together the 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 tsp garlic powder & 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce. Once the meatloaf is done, add it on top & bake for another 5-10 mins.

We love serving it with mashed potatoes & any side veggie or salad!

Note - you can switch out the bread for 1/2 cup of oats or breadcrumbs!

Enjoy!
