Trust me, you will want to try this!
Apple crumble cake with a delicious glaze on top is everything you’d imagine it to be! So tasty! There is a video below to go along with the recipe!
What you will need:
For the cake:
• 4 tbsp butter
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 3-4 apples cut up
• 1 tbsp brown sugar
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1/2 cup greek yogurt or sour cream
• 1/4 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 cup flour
For the crumble:
• 1/2 cup melted butter
• 1 1/2 cup flour
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
•. 1/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp nutmeg
• 1/2 tsp vanilla
• handful of diced up apples
For the glaze:
• 1 cup water
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 tsp cinnamon
• 1/4 cup flour
Directions:
1) Heat oven to 350. Dice up your apples into really small chunks. Don’t need to peel them if you don’t want too.
2) In a pan add your diced up apples, a bit of butter, brown sugar & cinnamon. Cook on medium for 5-10 mins.
3) While those are cooking make the rest of your cake batter. In a bowl add the butter, sugar, vanilla, green yogurt & egg. Whisk together. Then add the flour, baking soda, baking powder & salt. Whisk together.
4) Add your cooked apples to your cake batter & mix well. Pour batter into a cake pan.
5) Mix all the crumble ingredients together in a bowl & sprinkle on top of the cake batter. Don’t forget to add a couple diced apples on top.
6) Put in the oven for 30-35 mins.
7) While that’s cooking you can make the glaze. Add all the ingredients to a pot & bring to a boil. Then bring it to a simmer until it thickens a little bit. Whisk often.
8) Once the cake is done in the oven, pour the glaze on top & serve!
